If the claimed value of your gift is $500 or less, you may deduct the Fair Market Value up to $500.00. Deductions for vehicles with a claimed value of more than $500.00 may not exceed the selling price of the vehicle. Upon the sale of your vehicle, the charity you select will send a final receipt package stating the sale price of your vehicle.
If you do not have the title or if your title shows a "lien holder" or "legal owner" call (800)222-2038 for instructions on how to proceed.
- Only the registered owner(s) can sign the certificate of title
- Sign the title as the seller only
- Do not sign in any other place
- Do not write any additional information on the title
- Do not write any other name on the title
- If any other marks or writing appear on the title you must obtain a replacement

If the state in which the vehicle is registered requires that you remove the plates from the vehicle please do that before the transport truck arrives. DO NOT LEAVE THE VEHICLE ON A PUBLIC STREET WITHOUT PLATES! We are not responsible for promises made by a tow driver that they will remove the plates at the time the vehicle is picked up. Plates left on the vehicle cannot be returned.
Registration laws for boats and trailers vary from state to state. If your boat and/or trailer and/or outboard motor are registered we must have an original copy of the title and a Power of Attorney for each.
Vehicle must be cleaned out and ready.
Any cancellations without 24 hours notice may be subject to a towing fee.
Drivers' hours are 9am to 8pm.
You do not have to be home the day of pick up.
Our resources for picking up donations are limited. If your vehicle/vessel is located outside our service area or requires special transport equipment it may be necessary for us to cancel this donation. Seasonal workloads, weather or other factors may affect how quickly your donation can be picked up. Do not park your car where it is at risk of theft, damage, vandalism, parking citations, impounds, liens, etc.
